Q. Explain about Spring Model ?
The spring model depicts elasticity. A force is applied in terms of load onto the spring as illustrated in the figure 8.6. When the force is applied, deformation is produced which Will remain constant for some time and the spring will immediately regain its shape after removal of a load.
This is ideal for the elastic materials. In case of food, the spring is replaced with food material or elastic food, for which the deformation is to be measured. For example, extensiometer for measuring the dough elasticity and extensibility.
