Ridge relationship is also critical especially in cases with multiple implants and fixed prosthesis, which is an advanced treatment procedure. But, for your information due to the resorption pattern of the residual ridge, with time the maxilla becomes narrower and the mandibular arch wider. In cases wherein such a discrepancy is very prominent, making a fixed full arch implant supported prosthesis to articulate with a buccal overjet on the lower, would have a very large buccal cantilever and transmit very high forces on occlusal loading.
