Q. Explain about Pre - Diabetes?

Pre - Diabetes is a condition where blood sugar level is above normal but below to be diagnosed as diabetes mellitus. It has been found that those people with blood glucose values lying between the normal and diabetic range had a high risk of diabetes mellitus. IFG and IGT are two types of as "pre-diabetes." Both categories of pre - diabetes are risk factors for future diabetes and for cardiovascular disease.

Blood glucose levels that are higher than normal but not yet high enough to be diagnosed as diabetes. Screening and treatment of pre-diabetes should be a priority for all health care professionals. Prediabetes has two subtypes: Impaired Glucose Tolerance and Impaired Fasting Glucose.
