Q. Explain about Peroxoacids of Sulphur?

There are two peroxoacids of sulphur, viz., peroxomonosulphuric acid, H2SO5, and peroxodisulphuric acid, H2S2O,. These acids are known also as Caro's acid and Marshall's acid, respectively, after the names of their discoverers. These acids can be considered as derived from hydrogen peroxide by the replacement of one or both the hydrogen atoms by sulphuric group, -SO2OH:
