Q. Explain about Non ionising radiation?

Non ionising radiation include infrared and UV rays. Lethal effect is through generation of heat and DNA damage. Penetration is low but efficacy is high. Infra red is used for sterilization of syringes while UV rays are used for disinfection of enclosed areas such as entry ways, hospital wards, and operation theatres.
