Explain about Knowledge management systems
A Knowledge Management System (KMS) has a knowledge base as a main component of computer-based information systems. A KMS uses its knowledge base about a specific, complex application area to act as an expert / consultant to end-users. Such a system can be used either for management or for operational applications. Therefore a KMS can be classified conceptually as either an operation or management system, depending on whether it is used for expert advice to control operational processes or for assisting in managerial decision making.
