Q. Explain about Folded network?
Folded network: When all the outlets/inlets are connected to the subscriber lines, logical connection appears as displayed in figure. In this case, output lines are folded back to input and hence the network is known as a folded network. Four types of connection can be established:
1. Local call connection between two subscribers in the system.
2. Outgoing call connection between a subscriber and an outgoing trunk.
3. Incoming call connection between an incoming trunk and a local subscriber.
4. Transit calls connection between an incoming trunk and an outgoing trunk.
In a folded network with N subscriber, there may be a maximum of N/2 simultaneous calls or information interchanges.

Determine the equivalent winding resistance: A 50 kVA, 2200/110 V, 50 HZ' transformer contain an HV winding resistance of 0.15 Ω and a leakage reactance of 0.45 Ω. The LV wind
Hall Effect is associated with (A) Conductors. (B) Semiconductors. (C) Thermistors. (D)Solders. Ans: Hall Effect is associated with semiconductors.
High Voltage Distribution System or HVDS Adoption of HVDS (High Voltage Distribution System) through converting existing LVDS to HVDS reduces the technical losses appreciably.
