Q. Explain about Chemistry and Matter?
Chemistry is the study of matter as well as the changes that it undergoes. Matter is anything which has mass and takes up space. Mass is a measurement of the sum of matter in an object. Everything nevertheless isn't made of matter. For instance light, heat, radio waves and magnetic fields are some things that are not made of matter.
You might speculate why scientists measure matter in terms of mass and not in terms of weight. Your body is made of matter and you most likely weigh yourself in pounds. Nevertheless your weight isn't just a measure of the amount of matter in your body. Your weight as well includes the effect of Earth's gravitational pull on your body. This force isn't the same everywhere on Earth. Scientists make use of mass to measure matter instead of weight because they need to compare measurements taken in different locations.
Matter is made up of particles called as atoms that are consequently small they cannot be seen with an ordinary light microscope. The composition, structure and behaviour of all matter can be explained by atoms and the changes they undergo.
