Explain a tube well, Electrical Engineering

Assignment Help:

Q. Explain a Tube Well?

Method of restoring or increasing the capacity of tube well is known as developing a Tube Wells. This is done to eliminate bridging of fine particles on the voids of the strainers. That is achieved by one of the following method -

a) Back water - by forcing compressed air in the tube well.

b) Surging - By raising & lowering of the Plunger in a well. Thus sand particles are subjected to severe agitation.

c) Gravel Packing - Around the tube well gravel of size varying from 12 mm to 50 mm are filled. It is increase the area around the well thus decrease the velocity of water.
