Zehnder's balance
This ingenious balance, which is very beneficial for demonstration experiments, can be constructed in a few minutes using pins, razor blade, cork and knitting needle.
The knitting needle is first pushed by the cork as eccentrically as possible along a line parallel to a diameter of the end of the cork.
Half cylinders are cut away from every end of the cork to produce the balance beams as shown. The supporting pins are now pushed through the cork, and can rest on slips of glass glued to a strip of wood. The sensitivity of the balance can be varied by adjusting the following pins

The elctric field in a certain region of space has components E x = 6.0 N/C, E y = 7.0 N/C, and E z = 0. Find the electric flux though the surface x = 6 y , 0 x
1. During an experiment, the osmotic pressure was recorded with respect to different concentrations of an enzyme. The results of the experiment are shown in the table below. a.
A Neutron Star is formed in the aftermath of a Supernova explosion. The star was originally rotating with a period of 20 days and had a mass of 2x10 30 kg and radius of 6x10 8 m.
Superposition principle The general idea is that, while a number of influences are working on a system, the total influence on that system is just the sum of the individual in
