Experiment of filter pump, Chemistry

Assignment Help:

Filter pump

Some skill is needed to construct the ordinary glass filter pump, but it is possible to contrive one from glass tubing and good corks. The action of the pump depends on the principle that a jet of water directed down a narrow tube carries air with it and decreases the pressure of the air in the vicinity (Y).
