A small spool and a large spool

Using nails for axles fasten a large spool and a smaller spool to a block of wood. Slip a rubber band in excess of both spools. Turn the larger spool one turn and note whether the smaller spool makes more or less than single full turn. Make a list of plans that driven by belts.
