A balance barometer

This device depends on the fact that dry air is heavier than moist air at the similar temperature.

Two equal cylinders (tin cans would do) are mounted, one at every end of the beam of a sensitive balance. Zehnder's arrangement is fairly satisfactory for this purpose.
