Exercise- Heat Production

During physical activity heat production by exercise can to some extent substitute for heat generated by shivering. However, exercise also tends to facilitate heat loss by degrading body insulation. Therefore, relative significance of exercise in thermoregulation of birds and mammals is not very clear. After studying the ways in which Homeotherms gain heat, we will now study how they lose the excess heat.
