1. This is what I am thinking to write so far how can I apply my theories in this HIV education in Africa?
I choose Transtheoretical model of change and health belief model. The theories of health belief and transtheroretical model can be utilized by both the advanced nursing practitioner and the nurse educator in clinical or educational situation as a frame work to guide in understanding factors associated with compliance so that proper or right interventions may be formulated that best fits the individual and family for optimal health. My plan on this question is that junior students will be taking part in the global service learning program that will take place in Africa with guidance by nurse educator . The role of the program is the promotion of global health and awareness. The students will mostly focus on the education the communities for example the youth in schools, the patients at different hospitals by using the theories as frame work for health behavior interventions that will help in the prevention of the epidemic HIV disease that has claimed lives of many people to due different reasons. Through HIV education there has been has helped reduce very high incidence of HIV OR very high HIV infection rate While the rate of new infections continues to increase.
2. Choose one theory from Group A and one theory from Group B. Compare and contrast how these theories perceive the concepts of nursing and health.
