Essay Assignment: Experimental Design
Now that you have completed several hands-on lab experiments, take a little time to consider the importance of good experimental design and how the lab experiments you have completed so far this semester could be improved. You have been assigned a specific lab that included one or more experiments. Review the experimental design and the independent and dependent variables. Review the sample size, controls, and other important elements of good experimental design. Write a new and improved version of one of the experiments from your assigned lab, explaining the reasons for your changes and how the new experiment will better test the hypothesis (yes, you need to state the hypothesis being tested).
