Limit State of Serviceability

Deflection In the consideration of this limit state, the deflection of a structural member is considered. The code recommends that the deflection of a structure or part of it should not adversely affect the appearance the efficiency of the structure or finishes or partitions. Some limits on the maximum value of deflection have been recommended by the code.
