Illustrate the elements of Information Super Highway Infrastructure.
The Information Superhighway is more than the Internet. This is a series of elements, including the collection of private and public high-speed, interactive, broadband and narrow networks which exist today and will emerge tomorrow.
i. This is the satellite, wireless and terrestrial technologies which deliver content to homes, other public, businesses and private institutions.
ii. This is the information and content which flow over the infrastructure, whether into the form of databases, a film, and a piece of music, the written word, a sound recording or computer software or a picture.
iii. This is the radios, computers, telephones, televisions and other products which people will employ to access the infrastructure.
iv. This is the people who will give, manage and produce new information, and such who will assist others to do similar.
v. And this is the individual Americans who will employ and benefit through the Information Superhighway.
The Information Superhighway is a term which encompasses all such components and takes the vision of a nationwide, seamless, invisible, dynamic web of transmission information, content, mechanisms, appliances and people.
