Divisions of Meiosis:

Meiosis is characterized by two nuclear divisions, meiosis I and meiosis II.

• The first division is a reduction division.

• The second meiotic division looks like mitosis.

Each division of meiosis consists of four main stages: prophase, metaphase, anaphase, and telophase.
