Differences between Prokaryotes and Eukaryotes

It is obvious that there are a number of differences between them. Prokaryotes, like bacterial cells are generally much smaller, less than l µm in diameter, and are thus not visible to the naked eye. Eukaryotes, like plant and animal cells, however, are at least 10 times bigger than the bacterial cells. Also their sizes and shapes vary considerably.
