Mica is an inorganic mineral. It is one of the best natural insulating materials available. In spite of the tremendous progress made in insulation technology this material and its product still find many applications in the present day. The qualities of mica can be classified on visual basic such as clear, stained spotted, etc. Mica sheets are used for the insulating leaves between commentator segments. These are however not obtainable in large thickness. Thus for commentator of considerable dimensions mica has been developed. This is achieved by sticking mica splitting on sheets of paper by means of a drying varnish such as shellac. These sheets are pressed between steam heated plates and then cooled. Mica is used for slot linings of have machines and for making bushes. Mica is usually avoided for slot linings of machines because its space factor is low. This means that adequate dielectric strength may be obtained with thinner layers of cotton tape and like materials than of mica.
In the Compton effect, a photon of wavelength l collides with a stationary electron. The wavelength of the emitted photon is: a) longer than l b) shorter than l c)
An echo is easily the retransmission of speaker's own voice caused by reflection at a distance surface. If there is a sound reflector at a distance d from host, then the time in
Area of a Circle As a Limit Describing that the area of a circle is a limit of the sum of the area of interior triangles as the number of triangles goes to infinity.
When white wave passes by a semi-transparent solid, or liquid or gas, it's spectrum have certain dark lines or bands, such spectrum is known as absorption spectrum (of the substanc
An electrical dipole is just a separation between a negative and positive charge of the same magnitude. Consider that a dielectric material is exposed to an electrical field. The e
Two travelling sinusoidal waves are described by the wave functions Y1 = 55.00 sin[π(4.00x - 1200t)] Y2 =55.00 sin[π(4.00x - 1200t - 0.250)] where x, Y1 , and Y2 are in meter
What is the echo of the launched pulse? Any discontinuity into the medium of propagation of an ultrasonic pulse provides rise to back-reflection that travels back to the input
why the light vibrating in the plane ofincidence is not reflected at Brewster''s angle?
What should be the length of the dipole antenna for a carrier wave of Frequency 3 X 1O 8 Hz? Define 'electric line of force' and give its two important properties.
