The study of aphasia and acquired language disorders was one of the driving forces in the growth of neuropsychology in this century. Thus, when using batteries, such as the Neurosensory Center Comprehensive Examination of Aphasia, they also make use of tests used by speech pathologists and other psychologists, such a Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test Revised.
