Determine the surgical phase of implant therapy, Biology

Stage I Surgical phase

Implant placed in the maxilla or mandible

After 7 days:

- Sutures resorbs or are removed

- Patient may be allowed to wear his/her former denture

Patient is asked to continue on soft diet for 4-6 wks following surgery

It takes 3-6 months for the healing to complete.
