BCC should be integrated with program goals from the starting. BCC is a necessary part of diabetes prevention, care and support programs, and providing link with other health programmes.
- BCC assessment. It is conducted to understand the needs, problems of the patient, family and community and supports for behaviour change.
- The community and patient should participate in all phases of BCC development and implementation.
