d. ∠CBD and ∠ABE are vertical angles that are same in measurement. Solve the following equation for x: 4x + 5 = 7x - 10. Subtract 4x from both sides; 5 = 3x - 10. include 10 to both sides; 15 = 3x. Divide both sides by 3; 5 = x or x = 5. To solve for ∠ABE substitute x = 5 into the expres- sion 4x + 5 and simplify; 4(5) + 5 same 20 + 5 or 25. ∠ABE equals 25°.
