Assignment Help:

Determine the Importance of the extraoral

Importance of the extraoral photographs cannot be overemphasized for implants in the esthetic zone as the amount of visibility of teeth and the gingival is critical. For e.g. if an implant is required in the tooth number 12 region, however there is vertical bone loss and the crown configuration possible is FP2 then it is still acceptable if the papilla doesn't grow and the tooth appears longer in comparison to the adjacent natural teeth when the patient's smile is low and the cervical portion of the teeth and beyond are not visible. However, the same result would be an aesthetic disaster in a patient with a gummy smile
