Determine the equilibrium concentrations for formic acid, Chemistry

Assignment Help:

Formic acid is a weak acid along with a pKa of 3.75. Name of this comes through the Latin term "formica" ("ant") since it is extremely plentiful into the secretions of several species of ants, and is particular of the irritants delivered by several stinging wasps, bees and ants.

When use formic acid to make 2.00 liters of 50.0 mM buffer at the pH you chooses so, determine the equilibrium concentrations that expect for formic acid and its conjugate base.

Ans:

[Hform] = 0.017999 M → 0.0180 M formic acid

[form-] = 0.032001 M → 0.0320 M formate
