When a certain beam of light falls upon a metal surface, it ejects photoelectrons from it. 

The number of photoelectrons ejected per second by the beam of light depends upon one of the following.

Is it proportional to:

a) The threshold frequency of the metal

b) The work function of the metal

c) The frequency of the beam

d) The intensity of the beam
