Determine the analog output voltage of 6-bit DAC, Computer Engineering

Assignment Help:

Determine the analog output voltage of 6-bit DAC (R-2R ladder network) with Vref as 5V when the digital input is 011100.

Ans. The analog output for 6-bit R-2R DAC ladder network is given as:

V0 = VR/2n(an-12n-1 + an-22n-2 +.........+a121 + a020)

Provided data: VR = 5V, n = 6, a5=0 a4=1, a3=1, a2=1,a1 =0,a0=0

V0 = 5/26(a525 + a323 +a222 +a121 a020)

V0 = 5 x (28/64)

= 2.1875V
