Determine that the Trade offs of operations systems is correct

You may wish to ponder this trade-offs for a moment and ask the question: is this correct? Consider an organisation with which you are familiar. How about McDonald's. How many items does McDonald's have on the menu? I think you will agree the list is short. Could McDonald's extend the list and still supply all items in as short a delivery period? Or is there a trade-off between service delivery time and available variety? Or is there a trade of between customer service and delivery lead time. McDonald's recently carried out some research into issue. They encouraged the servers to spend a little more time 'chatting' during the process of handing over an order. Interestingly, this was seen as a reduction in service by those waiting as the waiting time grew in proportion.
