Determine five most important turning points in u.s., History

Assignment Help:

You are the museum director of a large metropolitan museum (such as in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, or Houston) and the Board of Directors has commissioned you to create a display of the five most important turning points in U.S. History since 1945. To create the display, you must include at least 10 primary sources that illustrate the five turning points.

To complete this assignment you must:

* Determine the five most important turning points in U.S. History since 1945
* Choose a minimum of 10 primary sources (15 maximum) that illustrate these turning points. The primary sources might include primary sources such as photos, videos, diaries, newspaper accounts, or government documents).
* You must write a brief paragraph about each turning point explaining why you believe it is one of the five most important.
* You must write a brief (one to three sentences) caption explaining why the primary source you chose effectively illustrates the turning point.
* Turn in your exhibit as either a Word document, PowerPoint, or another more creative media such as a blog or wiki.

Please keep in mind that as the Director of a museum, you are telling a story for the public. You will be "interpreting" the past. What kind of story are you telling? How will you interpret this period for the public?
