Determine about the logical shift, Computer Engineering

Assignment Help:

Logical shift

A logical shift operation transfers 0 through serial input. We apply symbols shl and shr for logical shift left and shift right microoperations, examples:.

R1 ← shl R1

R2 ← shr R2

These are the two micro operations which specify a 1-bit shift left of content of register R1and a 1- bit shift right of content of register R2.
