The program began with cross validation of the battery and expanded into numerous areas, including validation of new tests added to the battery (e.g. the Trail Marking Test), lateralisation and localisation of function, aging, and neuropsychological aspects of a wide variety of disorders such as alcoholism, hypertension, disorders of children, and mental retardation.
