Describe the working of ultrasonic pulse echo system.

The working of ultrasonic pulse echo system:

The ultrasonic pulse echo system is utilized to detect flaw, estimate the dimension of the flaw, describe a material, and determine hidden cracks, voids, porosity and many internal discontinuities into metals, plastics, composites and ceramics or many more.

An ultrasonic pulse echo system essentially consists of the given several functional units as follows:

a. A master timer by an electronic clock

b. An electronic pulse generator for signal

c. Signal transmitting transducer.

d. Reflected signal receiving transducer.

e. An echo signal amplifier and

f. A display device as like CRO
