Assignment Help:

Describe the term grievancein in brifefy.

A grievance may be:

(i) Stated or unvoiced by the worker,

(ii) Written or unwritten, and a ridiculous or valid, and may arise out of something associated with the company, for example company policy or actions. If the enterprise wants to get maximizes out of its employees, a sufficient and effective procedure should be deployed by the management to handle and settle grievances of its workers.

The one thing that is very harmful to good relations between workers and management is the feeling among workers which the management does not look into their difficulties and problems. This results in dissatisfaction in the minds of employees and distrust towards management that, in turn, introduces inefficiency and lack of co-operation from the worker's side. Therefore, if no systematic way exists for bringing workers complaints or grievances to the surface, they may explode and pile up into an industrial dispute.
