Describe Participation Constraints?

Participation Constraints - The participation constraint exacts whether the existence of an entity depends on its being related to another entity through the relationship type. This constraint specifies the minimum number of relationship examples in which each entity can participate in. It is sometimes known as the minimum cardinality constraint. There are two kinds of participation constraints - total and partial.
