Describe about the term- network
If network tends to lose the packets, it is better to acknowledge each one of them separately, so the lost packets could be retransmitted. On the other hand, if network is highly reliable, transmitting one acknowledgement at end of the entire transfer saves bandwidth in normal case (but requires entire file to be retransmitted if even only a packet is lost).
