It employs a helical scan, read after write recording scheme that provides reliable data recording. Head spins at a high speed while tape moves. Very high recording densities are attained. It employs a recording format known as Digital Data Storage (DDS) that provides three levels of error correcting code to make sure excellent data integrity.
