Assignment Help:

De?ne reduction potential and oxidation potential.

Reduction potential of a metal is the measure of tendency of a metallic electrode to gain electrons when it is in contact with a solution of its own salt of unit molar concentration at 25C. Subsequently, the tendency of an electrode to lose electrons and to get oxidized, when it is in contact with its own salt solution of unit molar concentration at 25 C is called as oxidation potential.
