Mr X is president and general manager of AgriMark Inc., a successful and growing dairy cooperative that?s known for its high quality dairy products. Mr X is a demanding, autocratic boss who is described as "blunt, sarcastic, tactless, and tough." In contrast, Mr Y is founder of Rhinotek Computer Products. He has learned to tap into his employees? passions and strengths and get the best out of them. He encourages their participation and let them figure out how best to do things. Both companies are successful but the leaders behave in different ways.

(a) By using information from the above statement, explain what you understand by autocratic, democratic and laissez faire leadership style.

(b) "According to the situational theories of leadership, there is no best leadership style". Using any situational theory of leadership, explain this statement.
