Then you need to explain in brief why do you want to delegate this task, what are its uses, why have you selected that particular person or particular group, what is the relevance of that task which you are delegating, what is the importance of that task which you want to delegate and so on.
For example: You can arrange the feedback session for clarifying your understanding and how it will be performed and so as you make sure that it is done successfully to achieve the task or a responsibility.
The other important thing is resources that what are your requirements to successfully complete the process of delegation like manpower, location, money, materials, equipments and other important activities?
There should be a specific date and deadline where you need to finish the job assigned to you, the particular date when you need to submit your reports.
You can also take help or can involve other person who they can resolve if there is any issue concerned at your place.
Final feedback matters a lot and supports a lot to improve the task and produce better output so if you are taking suggestions and feedback from other person you will get some better ideas and planning for implementing your task.
Pros and cons of delegation from the perspective of the employee
Pros:
It helps to achieve greater job satisfaction, it increases the level of productivity, it helps in increase of the creativity and innovation, and it brings out change in employee's behavior and also increases the effectiveness and efficiency in employees. They start taking risk which will help them in success and focus on quality part as well.
Cons:
If there is a problem in attitude like if there is negative attitude carried by employee, there will be problems in delegating. There feedback will also not favor and the chances of failure will increase.
Pros and cons of delegation from the perspective of the supervisor
Pros:
Managing the skills properly and leading a best management plan. Creativity and innovation increases as per the responsibility increases. It helps in focus on the important task and develops trust and encouragement.
Cons:
If there is any miscommunication, you would not be able to achieve the task, the goals and objectives need to determine properly. There can be lack of resources which will be a disadvantage in achieving the task.
