Q. Definition of Avogadros Hypothesis?

Ans.

Equal volumes of different gases at the same temperature and pressure contain the same number of molecules. At a given temperature and pressure, the number of molecules of gas in any sample depends only on the volume of the sample, not on the nature of the gas.

At the same temperature and pressure, these three balloons (of equal volume),which each contain different gases, contain the same number of molecules.

Although this law is simple, it is very significant in understanding the nature of gases. It is a cornerstone of the Kinetic Molecular Theory and provides a method for determining the molecular weights of gases.
