Define what is Dispatcher
In the Worker Model, it is the task of the Dispatcher to spawn a thread for every client-to-server connection. The Dispatcher acts as the go-between of the SCM and the Executor. Its main function is to provide initiation (or dispatch) threads to execute on behalf of the client. The Dispatcher must also establish client data areas, as well as client registration before the spawn.
After the Dispatcher is finished, the unique thread started for each client will execute concurrently with other threads in the system. It is here that modifications for thread pooling could be made if resources were being overused.
Explain about deadlock detection? In deadlock situation, the system must provide An algorithm that verifies the state of the system to verify whether a deadlock has occu
Your task is to replace the round robin CPU scheduling scheme you developed in Practical 6 with a priority-based scheduling algorithm. To simplify matters, you can maintain the ori
Q. Likewise some systems support many types of structures for a file's data while others simply support a stream of bytes. What are the merits in addition to demerits? Answer:
A- Consider a computer system that provides a virtual memory space that consists of 8 pages. The physical memory contains 4 pages where the page size is 4Kbytes. Assume that at sp

What is dispatch latency? The time taken by the dispatcher to stop one process and begin another running is known as dispatch latency.
When programming with threads, there are three very common mistakes that programmers often make: 1. locking twice (depending on the system and type of lock, can cause crashes, h
4. Describe priority scheduling algorithm. Consider the following set of processes. Show the order in which the algorithm will schedule these processes. Assume preemptive and non-p
