Define Volume of Urine - General Examination of Urine

Volume: Measurement of the volume of each urine specimen passed is necessary for the conditions in which the fluid balance is affected, for example, operation, oedema (swelling caused by an abnormal accumulation of fluid in the body tissues), dehydration (excessive loss of water frotn the body) and kidney failure (a chronic condition in which the body retains fluid and harmful wastes build up because the kidneys no longer work properly) etc.
