Define Type of Instruments used in Spectral Techniques?

A wide range of instruments are available, possessing a combination of features but there is no rigid classification of the types. The components of most photoelectric colorimeters are basically the same. The degree of sophistication of the instrument, its price and the quality of results depend upon the individual components and the optic design. The basic method of operation as described above is also similar for the wide range of instruments available in the market.
