Define the term multi-mode fibre shortly.
Multi-mode fibre:
This type of fibre permits more than one mode to travel by this. As this has to permit more number of modes to travel which, the fibre has to have a larger core. A classical multimode fibre has a core diameter in order of from 150 to 200µ m. That a large core permits more number of modes to travel but also makes this easier to launch the light in fibre and to join two fibres together. Conversely, larger the number of modes, larger will be the dispersion of light into the fibre.
A magnetizing force of 8000A/m is applied to a circular magnetic circuit of mean diameter 30cm by passing a current by a coil wound on the circuit. If the coil is uniformly wo
