Define the term Blood

“The ancients believed that blood was the seat of the emotions".  Blood, a body fluid, has been correctly termed as an elixir of life. We all have blood flowing inside our bodies. Blood, as you already know, has several important roles to play. It carries oxygen and nutrients to the tissues and carries waste products away. Blood helps maintain body temperature and normal pH levels in body tissues. The protective functions of blood involve clot formation and the prevention of infection.
