Assignment Help:

Tensile stresses

It has been possible to introduce tensile stresses of upto 850 N/mm2 in tendons with the use of this method. But the method is not suited in situations where a high degree of prestress is desired to be induced. Structural elements suited for chemical prestressing are thin walls, shells, slabs, composite columns, folded plates and pipes.
