Define the elimination of dna ligase activity in a cell, Biology

Assignment Help:

Which of the following results from the elimination of DNA ligase activity in a cell?

A. The oligonucleotide primers will not be removed from the genome - as they often contain incorrectly added bases, this will lead to mistakes being permanently encoded in the genome.

B. Single stranded breaks will persist within the genome - this will result in the unwinding of DNA by helicases and the digestion of DNA by exo/endonucleases.

C. The ends of chromosomes will be shortened as replication of the lagging strand is not completed.
