Define the DMA controller interface.
A DMA controller interfaces along with a few peripherals which may request DMA. The controller chooses the priority of simultaneous DMA requests communicates along with the peripheral and the CPU, and gives memory addresses for data transfer. DMA controller generally used with 8088 is the 8237 programmable device.
The 8237 is actually a special-purpose microprocessor. Normally this appears as part of the system controller chip-sets. The 8237 is a 4-channel device type. All channels are dedicated to an exact peripheral device and able of addressing 64 K bytes section of memory.

Explain n-type and p-type semiconductors. n - Type semiconductor: If small amount of pentavalent impurity (group V elements) is added to a pure semiconductor giving a large
Q. The input to the differentiator circuit is a sinusoidal voltage of peak value 5mv and frequency 1kHZ. find out the output if R=100K and C=10^-6F Solution. The equation
CPI Compare Immediate Instruction The 8 bit data specified in the instruction is compared with the contents of the accumulator. The comparison is done by subtracting
What is Voltage Multiplying DACs? Multiplying DACs function on the principle of producing a weighted sum analog signal where the sum is proportional to the digital input signal
Energy Bands 1) Since isolated atoms are brought together to make a solid, the electron wave functions begin to overlap. 2) Several interactions occur, and, at the proper i
Q. Consider the circuit of Figure in which the switch S has been open for a long time and is closed at t = 0. Determine v C (t) for t ≥ 0.
What is meant by Daisy Chaining method? It does not need any priority resolving network, rather the priorities of all the devices are effectively assumed to be in sequence.
Q. In the circuit shown in Figure, use the ideal op-amp technique to find: (a) v o as a function of v i . (b) The voltage at A.
short note on priming
Q. Discuss the closed-loop behavior? Consider an elementary feedback control system, as shown in Figure, with H = 1. The output variable c and the input e to the direct transmi
